Welcome

My name is Mike Trenk, as a therapist, I work with you to help you identify your desires and empower you to make those positive changes in your life.

I understand that making the decision to seek help can be difficult, so I use an approach that is compassionate, direct, and non-judgmental to help create an environment where you feel supported in your counseling journey.

I began my journey in the counseling field by helping children and adolescents working as an In Home Therapist. I discovered my passion is helping individuals, families and couples work and engage in their lives and relationships by overcoming struggles in life. I continued from my work in In Home Therapy to working in an outpatient setting for the last few years, where I have continued to work with adolescents and children along with families and adults as well.

My specialties in training are Cognitive Behavioral therapy, Play therapy, client focused, narrative therapy and recently certified in motivational interviewing therapy. I currently focus my practice in helping individuals and families manage a diagnosis ranging from anxiety, depression, self-esteem issues, Organizational, frustration and anger to name a few. Reduce your stress

This list is the range of population and specialties I have worked with in different settings from In home therapy, schools, community outreach programs, and outpatient services. Currently in my private practice outpatient services are mostly what I provide for individuals seeking therapeutic guidance on managing anxiety from a mild case where using coping skills such as breathing and assisting with processing feelings and emotions affiliated with a certain stressor that creates a range of feelings. A specialty that I enjoy working with clients on is ADHD, from young first diagnosed to adults struggling with career, finances and relationships due to the disorder I can help you learn different talk therapy ideas and techniques to find ways for you to feel a better sense of self control of the ADHD symptoms that can arise on a daily basis.

My other specific client I work with a majority of sessions over the last few years is adult males 18-80 range wanting to learn more about themselves and how to start the journey of “breaking the cycle”. What I mean by that statement is males seeking guidance in a range of issues, of learning how to manage anxiety, anger, sadness, depression and beyond.
